Holiday Home Tour

The Christmas decorations are up and holiday cheer is in full swing in our house.  I wanted to document this Christmas in particular since it will be our first Christmas in our first home.  Last year we failed to take one photo together during Christmas, which makes me a little said since it was the first Christmas we celebrated as a married people.  I'm going to make up for that this year.

Our tree is decorated in quite a few vintage ornaments, but I stuck to colors of gold, silver, taupe, brown,  champagne, and a few very light pinks.  A few not vintage ornaments are mixed in too.

In addition to weaving my lights deep into the tree I use to different size lights to add dimension.  Because ribbon is expensive I cut up sparkly tulle last year to use on the tree.

I kept the simple theme going by just adding a strand of garland and lights along the back of the buffet.

I changed out the normal flowers in my cake stand for the pinecones I spray painted.  I added a few greens in there too, safely away from the cat who will chew on anything green.

I love the way the light reflects off my crystal glasses (goodwill for the win!), they have such a nice sparkle to them.

The table by the front door got a little holiday spruce too.  It sits right by the tree so I didn't want it competing.  Some garland and candlesticks are the perfect simple holiday decor.

I'm considering hanging garland about our kitchen cabinets and I need to make stockings for us, but I'll get there eventually.  The only expense we had was new lights so I'm happy with what we have done for the year.
